Brum: Stunt Bike Rescue and other stories

ABC © 2004 from English production company Ragdoll Ltd. Running time: 49 minutes

The 5 episodes each run for about 9 minutes. A small yellow open top vintage car called Brum saves the day. Simple stories which appeal to the very young viewer and those with short attention spans!

Laughing My baby boy had no patience for TV and I began to despair that I would ever be able to go to the bathroom without my child yelling the house down! When Brum came on the TV I noticed that he would watch. Simple concepts and very little dialogue let my child concentrate and gave me a few minutes to do the necessary tasks around the house. Some of the story lines stretch credibility, but they are colourful, fun and work on the very basic concepts of good and bad, right and wrong.

At 3 my child has developed a reasonable attention span, but he still enjoys watching Brum. He drinks his milk at night in the few minutes that the program runs, allowing us to tidy after bath and set up the bedroom. I totally recommend this program for young children and those who frequently seek attention.

Age: 6 months up
Rating: 9 out of 10
