Play School Meets the Orchestra and Everybody Sing!

Meets the Orchestra – 1992 – Nine favourite Play School presenters and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra explore music making in many ways. Everybody Sing! – 1995 an hour presentation with several Play School presenters and 33 favourite songs.

At first when I got this DVD home I was disappointed that the episodes didn’t have current presenters in them. However, we do have ABC2 which has old episodes which means the presenters are somewhat familiar.

As time goes on, we love this video more and more. It has enough variety to sustain repeated viewings. The contrast of a classical orchestral approach with familiar childrens songs in the two episodes mean that each time the DVD goes on it’s good for a couple of sessions of viewing in a day. The presenters become familiar and the appeal grows to your child.
