The Easiest Delivery - great for the queasy! Print E-mail

I was terrified that my husband would pass out during my delivery, as he really hates the sight of blood! We saw a few videos during a birthing class which helped, but this one is great as a starting point, as it is an animation. Maybe if I'd had a cellist, my delivery would have been something more like this!!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a straightforward vaginal delivery, but the orientation is of a woman lying down. When you lie down, you close off the sacrum and narrow the pelvis. Both of these need to expand as much as possible when you give birth. For that reason being upright and giving the lower back and pelvis room to expand is far better and quicker for the woman delivering. It does make it harder for the medical personnel to see what's going on.
